The cottage has been fully refurbished by One&Only Gorilla’s Nest with great care and attention to the original design and architecture making it an ideal hideaway during a busy adventure filled escape. Jack’s legacy can be felt throughout the restored living areas, which maintain the original dining table, chairs and wood flooring as well as on the intimate private garden terrace. His character can also be seen in small details such as the original cottage sign, Jack’s original guestbook documenting years of high-profile guests and photography throughout which tells a great story of his years in Rwanda.

Wine selection—semi-visual wine fridge with many South African wines but offers global choices. Our chefs Garden is an experience that is being developed with a greenhouse and opened in 2019.
One&Only Gorilla's Nest main restaurant is Nest. Nest focus on local, organic food with an interactive fresh, juice making station. Hot food cooked to order is also available offering a high level of freshness and quality and reduction of food wastage.
Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner: Use of local produce and menus are based on seasonal elements based on European/ Mediterranean celebrating Rwanda. Transfer from One&Only Nyungwe House to One&Only Gorilla’s Nest.
Akagera Aviation Rwanda operates the one-way Agusta Westland 119 Helicopter transfer, and it is strictly subject to all Akagera Aviation operational terms and conditions. If due to inclement weather, helicopter is unable to fly, alternative road transfer between resorts will be arranged.
